THE LOST IN MUSIC COLLECTION

The lost in music collection kind of came upon me one day. I was thinking about ways to make content more relevant and engaging and i up to this point i knew i wanted to create art that gave a nod to black hair and the industry, but the idea to combine it with the transcendent timelessness of music albums was definitely divine inspiration. Black hair has been a thing of beauty, and illusive communications the same way that an album is and it seemed almost a no brainer to put the two together. Effectively the LIMC is a celebration of the versatility and beauty of black hair in the style of albums that have arguably defined and shaped our generation, the previous and perhaps the future. I wanted colours to be bold and big and almost larger than life in the same way the styles and covers have done throughout time. Of course some pieces are more of a giveaway of their album cover inspiration than others but the idea throughout is just to have fun with the concept and make it as vague or as obvious as you want!
