the overview effect

The overview effect is the sudden realization that we live on a planet. Astronauts often experience this being in space for the first time. I used this as an inspiration and i created a series of hand-painted landscapes. Landscapes as you would see from space. I digitally adjusted these hand-painted sketches later on. The collection is made with fashion brand Stine Goya in mind and is the graduation collection for Akademie Vogue in Amsterdam.
