Third Year final portfolio Project:

My final year project is a combination of influences from both the theatre and science. These influences can be broken down into three categories Commedia dell'arte, The Ballet Russes and the micro-organisms (bone structure). I have used a muted colour pallet inspired by Tim Walker's photoshoot, Russian dolls which shows a modern take on the ballet. Below is the beginning of my development shown after my research where I start to drape on the stand with similar textures. It was important to keep in mind the way a costume moves on stage when dancing.
