Summit Ascension Holdings said it was issuing shares to raise HK$297 million (about $38 million) to expand its Tigred Crystal Casino Resort (pictured) in Russia's Far East.

The company said on Thursday it had conditionally agreed to allocate up to 300 million shares to at least six independent third parties at a price of HK$1.01 per share to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The company said in writing to the stock market that the disposal of all shares would yield a net profit of about HK$297 million.

"The company intends to use the proceeds to further develop its hotel and gaming business in the [Premorye] Unified Entertainment Zone in the Russian Federation," Summit Ascent said.

Tigre de Crystal is currently the only casino resort operating in the coastal integrated entertainment zone near the Russian Far East city of Vladivostok. Other resorts are under construction or are planning.

Tigre de Cristal is trying to attract athletes from neighboring China and elsewhere in North and East Asia.

In May, Summit Ascension Executive Director Eric Landheer told GGR Asia that the amount to be invested in the second phase of Tigre de Cristal would be between US$400 million and US$500 million.
