"The land where the stones know you is worth more than the land where the people know you."

'tir' - or 'land' in Welsh: a photoseries shot  a very amateur photographer (me), exploring Ynys Môn and the patterns etched into her stone over millions of years.

Inspired by lockdown-induced homesickness (hiraeth) and the proverb quoted above, here's a series of photographs that I shot in the motherland last year, depicting coastal rock formations around Llanddwyn.
