TransImmersion

TransImmersionis a Virtual Reality experience into the opposite gender and sex. Creating a safe place for the queercommunity,TransImmersionwants to give visibility to transgender people: the word “transgender” –or trans –is an umbrella term for people whose gender identity is different from the sex assigned at birth. The majority ofthe people who surround you still do not know someone who’s transgender. Many of this same group are unaware of what it means. Through the use ofobjects, relevant for a transition from one sex to another, I want people discover and understand what it means being in a body that does’tfeel like yours. TransImmersionwill launch at UAL Graduation Show 2020 at London College of Communication. The experience will be presented in a site specific installation.
