Troubled Sites

  • Alex Jones
Troubled Sites focuses on analysing spaces throughout London, which were targeted as a part of the Provisional Irish Republican Army’s guerrilla terrorist campaign. Revealing bomb sites within their surroundings, Troubled Sites helps to place the landscape between normality and conflict. This gap is investigated through the social, political and historical tensions hidden in the psychology of these sites, and how they serve to present the space not only as a theatre for terrorism, but also as a space within the ordinary.
