Typeface Classification Book Cover Design

These book covers explore the differences between different font classes using the comparative forms of two fonts within the same class; namely modern, sans serif, serif and slab serif. I developed my ideas in letterpress creating laser cut blocks for printing the cropped letterforms using acrylic before printing, aligning and overprinting in the letterpress workshop. Each cover can be considered individually or as a whole to spell ‘TYPE’
