University of Essex: Knowledge Gateway

As part of ongoing development of their Colchester campus, The University of Essex needed a sub-brand identity for The Knowledge Gateway project. The purpose of the new identity was to raise the profile of the multi-million pound investment on campus; and to promote the opportunities The Knowledge Gateway offers students, local start-up businesses and the wider community.

Sitting within the University of Essex challenger brand, The Knowledge Gateway identity uses a reduced colour palette. The charcoal blue builds a strong foundation of wisdom, consideration and depth of experience. The bright green conveys energy, zest and the spark of new ideas.
