‘Unorthodox’ is a sisterhood story that challenges the norm and depicts the new world in which we live - where women are increasingly seen going against the grain of what was once expected from them socially, economically, and psychologically. The story contradicts societal norms that have been placed on the female gender for generations. Showcasing scenes of Deji training to become a boxer & Carla practicing barbering at a time in the world where we are increasingly seeing more women behind the chair cutting hair.
