V&A Re: Imagined Musicals
The project was a collaboration performance that was performed in April 2022. The musical character I recreated is Elder Cunningham from the Book of Mormon. The costume is based on a classical Later Day Saints Outfit. I was inspired by the humor and dark comedy in the musical and referenced several elements from Star Wars and the Lord of the Rings ( which are Elder Cunningham's favorites). The final costume includes a reference to the LDS spired temple and contains embroidery, 3D printing, dyeing, silk screen printing, and a range of experimental silhouette developments.

traditional makings include a pair of bloomers, gloves and gaiters, hat.
Experimental makings include: sleeves, puff dress.
A book referenced opening, with embroidered quotes from the musical. A classical name tag and tie.
LDS temple inspired pointy hat.
Coloured prints designed by myself, and inspired by Star Wars and the Lord of the Rings.
