Voyager

  • Wojtek Peresada

Launched in late seventies Voyagers 1 and 2 were set out to explore the outer planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune) and their moons. Both probes are now heading away from the solar system, beyond the reach of the heliosphere into interstellar space. The aim of this project was to explore how the mission has contributed to scientific understanding of the outer planets and solar system, but also what the mission might mean for humankind and our place in the cosmos.
