So ... let's talk about Diversity & Inclusion again. Whilst many employers are currently recruiting Head of Diversity & Inclusion (or a similar job title); candidates are still experiencing bias based on education. I was shocked to learn that a perfectly educated researcher with experience in a reputable agency was rejected via so-called professional recruiter (!) because 'they haven't been to Oxford or Cambridge' and 'our client is only interested in candidates from these Universities'. Really??? It makes me so angry! Is this still happening in this day and age in the market research industry? It's prompted me to run another series of workshops for hiring managers on unconscious bias and diverse hiring. Dates and details are coming soon!
