Weekend in Time” is a collection for the autumn-winter season. The collection represents the return in time, and the commemoration of a style that dominated art, architecture and fashion in the seventeenth century and early eighteenth century.The opulence of the baroque style, the strong colors, the golden architectural details and the shapes of the costumes, were the main sources of inspiration for this theme. Weekend in Time represents the commemoration of Baroque art, combining the theater décor found in architecture combined with the works of great plastic artists from the 17th and 18th centuries. The main sources of inspiration for this collection are the paintings by Peter Paul Rubens and Diego Velázquez, especially the work “Las Meninas”. Also, the contrasts of curved shapes and stiffness of the materials used to make the costumes, as well as the corsets that stretched and thinned the women’s silhouette.
