The theme was pattern, process and portraiture for this Instagram contest run by the Camden Arts Centre. My entry (selected by designer Duro Olowu, who curated the exhibition 'Making/Unmaking' at the gallery) includes one of my own pattern designs, a cast of my own teeth and some medals awarded to me as a child. The text is from a political activist pamphlet that was posted through my door. All these elements come together to describe a struggle to get to a point of reward, or not.
