Projects
  • Jurassic Pale Ale
Jurassic Pale AleTe Papa is the national museum of New Zealand, located in the heart of Wellington. To celebrate their new ‘Tyrannosaurs – Meet the Family’ exhibition, Te Papa partnered with ParrotDog Brewery to create a one-off beer. The result was Jurassic Pale Ale, an easy going New Zealand hopped thirst quencher, made available at special events and in the museum cafe. As ParrotDog points out, the dinosaur community was recently divided over discoveries that the almighty tyrannosaur may have been a scavenge
  • ParrotDog Brewing
ParrotDog BrewingParrotDog has established itself as one of the leading craft breweries in Wellington, the Craft Beer Capital of New Zealand. From modest beginnings ParrotDog now boasts a core range of four ‘Originals’ as well as a further ten seasonal releases. From initially designing the logo for the first commercial release, I’ve been able to work as a creative partner to the ParrotDog team over the last four years. Together we’ve developed a versatile brand that incorporates packaging, signage and apparel, as well as online and offline promotional marketing. Real Nice.
  • Soho Radio
Soho RadioSoho Radio broadcasts live online 24 hours a day from its studio and coffee shop in Great Windmill Street, London. With shows from DJs such as The Cuban Brothers and Simone Marie of Primal Scream, Soho Radio reflects the culture of Soho through it’s diverse content. Whilst at Earth Branding I was able to design an iconic set of logos and a vibrant visual identity that would fit right into the heart of Soho. The new brand culminates with a multi-coloured neon sign, illuminating the studio as an
  • Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Book
Virgin Atlantic Flying Club BookTo celebrate it’s 25th birthday, Virgin Atlantic wanted to give its Gold Flying Club members a gift to commemorate the occasion. The solution was a coffee table book made up of travel images submitted by Flying Club members under the overarching idea of ‘You + Us’. The book pairs the images together creating visual metaphors for famous pairings, the game is to see how many you can spot. Whether it’s ‘Chalk + Cheese’, ‘Bacon + Eggs’ or ‘Eyes + Ears’, the book is a playful and engaging solution celebrating the connection between Virgin Atlantic and its customers.
  • Macabra
MacabraMacabra is a small, independent film production company based in London. They specialise in macabre matters of the heart, opitimised by their debut short, Alleyway Daydream. The identity is built around a bespoke typeface based on the title from the Man Ray film Emak Bakia. The logotype is supported by an Oleander flower icon. Despite it’s beauty, the Oleander flower is one of the most poisonous in the world, causing cardiac arrest when ingested. A perfect metaphor for the conflict addressed in Macabra’s imagery.
  • Empire's Union
Empire's UnionEmpire’s Union is a menswear fashion label specialising in premium shirting and tailoring. The hand finished garments use unusual cuts and geometry in their construction which formed the basis of the visual identity. Based around the signature ‘Starcut’ shirt design, the brand incorporates a bespoke logotype along side a geometric marque and pattern. The Spring/Summer 2012 Shirting look book was designed to accentuate the angles of the clothing through the graphic treatment, whilst the newsprint meant it sat neatly under the arm of any city gentleman.
