Macabra is a small, independent film production company based in London. They specialise in macabre matters of the heart, opitimised by their debut short, Alleyway Daydream. The identity is built around a bespoke typeface based on the title from the Man Ray film Emak Bakia.
The logotype is supported by an Oleander flower icon. Despite it’s beauty, the Oleander flower is one of the most poisonous in the world, causing cardiac arrest when ingested. A perfect metaphor for the conflict addressed in Macabra’s imagery.
