About me
Hiya! I’m Megan, a recent Graphic Design graduate from Falmouth University whose passion lies in creating work with one simple aim, to improve the lives of others through using an empathetic, honest, and playful approach. Brand experience, integrated design and strategy are three key disciplines that I find myself most involved with, but who can say no to a bit of this, a bit of that? Especially when it involves either looking for/capturing the finer details, or letting go completely! If you would like to get in touch for my CV, inquire about freelance work or collaborate, please ... Projects
  • The Lavender Co.
The Lavender Co.‘Growing Lavender for the community.’ Challenge: Create a new brand experience for Somerset Lavender (farm) and challenge the purpose/visual identity of Lavender products. Insight: Located in rural Somerset, the farm is rather quaint/small in size. Those who live in these rural communities/locations can often find themselves isolated and feeling lonely. Solution: The Lavender Co. - Company, Community and Collaboration.
  • D&AD Barclays - Goode
D&AD Barclays - GoodeChallenge: How can Barclays help vulnerable customers with mental health issues manage their money better? Insight: Life is an unpredictable journey that we all experience differently. When this has a negative impact on how we manage our mental and financial wellbeing, we can all feel a bit vulnerable. Especially if the advice from banks feels too generalised, how can we know what advice will suit our needs best? Solution: Goode - Mindful banking for when it matters most. An app created by
  • Stuff
StuffChallenge: In response to a specific social need and area of personal interest - how can we support those affected by Hoarding Disorder due to the lack of awareness and research? Insight: Despite being recognised as a mental disorder in 2013, Hoarders are still being stigmatised as TV and the media continue to present the ‘problem’ as an inhumane abundance of objects, rather than a side effect of an untreated mental health issue. CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) can provide long term rel
  • Waffling through COVID-19
Waffling through COVID-19With all of the uncertainty and fear expressed by those around me, I wanted to create something which would make people smile, even if this only lasted while they sipped their tea and scoffed some waffles. During my last semester at Falmouth University, my aim was to boost my confidence before entering the ‘real world’ and due to COVID-19, my plan had to adapt and this left me with 15 packets of waffles – a delicacy which sadly, I do not like. Instead of wasting this delicacy, I delivered them
  • D&AD Adidas : She is _ Boxing
D&AD Adidas : She is _ BoxingChallenge: Encourage more girls aged 14-17 to participate in sports by removing mental and physical barriers through the use of a brand experience and campaign in London. Insight: General - during puberty it is common for girls to view sport as a vehicle to ‘losing weight’ or to act masculine. Cities/London - More than half of women in London are ‘victims of sexual harassment on Tube, trains and buses’. How can we prepare girls for these unsafe situations and brave enough to report the iss
  • Paint a Boogie
Paint a BoogieA proposal for a new way to destress and reconnect with our creative side in a fearless and explorative way. Often during deadlines, we can find ourselves over absorbed into our work and therefore exclude the world around us. We play less and focus more on perfection and achievement, rather than creating for the sake of enjoyment. Paint a Boogie offers an opportunity of release by laying out paper and letting your feet create an unexpected masterpiece with the help from some paint, good music
