About me
I am a mixed media artist, designer and illustrator working digitally using an iPad and a range of painting materials such as gouache, acrylic paint, and ink. I have enhanced my skill set since recently taking up photography. I have had a keen interest in art from a young age and have built on my skills by increasing the use of different media in my work. I enjoy art, have launched my own business, created commissions, and will soon begin to sell my work.
Alongside being a freelance artist, I am a graphic designer as well and have worked on various projects throughout the years, from helping during my time volunteering at charities develop banners for their social media to creating an event poster for the Arts Centre for our exhibition, developing backgrounds for participant pages when collaborating with other artists, and designing a book cover for a client.
Utilising my expertise in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite at the University of Bedfordshire as a Graphic Design Assistant for the Communications Team, I crafted engaging digital and print assets aligned with brand guidelines. I employed Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Canva to produce diverse assets such as banners, digital screens, logos, and social media content for conferences, events, and awareness campaigns. I also curated imagery from Canto and produced PowerPoint presentations for senior management. Additionally, I further developed my photography and video editing skills, creating event highlights and promotional videos. I utilised Figma to design a research plan and developed a Diversity Calendar for 2024-2025.

Projects
- Events, Campaigns and Facilities ( Assets) - GAP Graphic Design Assistant at the University of BedfordshireLibrary Opening Hours: For library opening hours, I was asked to develop a new design. And for it, I kept the image from the previous design before using a border of books, which I then reduced in transparency. Next, I placed a white box, which is where the text was added, and lastly, I added extra elements of the library, pins, and the university logo. After developing the digital screens, I resized it for the app. BBC Broadcasting Team: Three students chose to join the broadcasting team for
- Digital Screens (Resizing and Designing) -GAP Graphic Design Assistant at the University of BedfordshireDigital Screens: For the TV screens at Bedford and Luton, I was asked to develop a digital screen for taking exams. For this, I created four designs, so it gave my colleague Lauren a variety to choose from. She finalised Design 4, where I created a teacher board with books in the corner, exam writing, and an A grade on it. Before writing the text on a white box with the title on the board in bold font, Lastly, finish it off with the university’s logo in the corner. Just like the TV screens for
- BLMK, 100 Faces, Mental Health Awareness Week and International Nurses Day (Promotional Assets for Events) - GAP Graphic Design Assistant at the University of BedfordshireBLMK: An important conference occurred in May for BLMK and for it. I developed professional artwork using university branding guidelines to promote the conference by first creating one design and then making changes to make sure the design was perfect and ready before developing the QR code to scan for registration. 100 Faces: 100 Faces is a campaign held by universities all over the UK. It will highlight and celebrate the achievements of first-generation university students and call for grea

Before overlaying it with the text saying: Wishing you a happy Ramadan on top of the design using Univers Bold 65 to make it all stand out. Easter: It was coming to the end of March and for the team I developed three different sized designs for MyBedsLife, Twitter and Digital Sc
- International Festival of Culture, and Mental Health Day (Promotional Assets for Events) - GAP Graphic Design Assistant at the University of BedfordshireInternational Festival of Culture: The university was celebrating the International Festival of Culture, and the restaurant asked students to submit recipes from their own culture. They had selected 3 to add to the menu for the week and needed a digital screen for each one to promote this. So, I painted the flag of India and poland before adding the text using the same font from Save The Party designs and the logo. To add more detail to it, I drew the food they were going to create and placed
- Staff Summer Party (Promotional Assets for Events) - GAP Graphic Design Assistant at the University of BedfordshireStaff Summer Party Artwork: After looking over last years, Staff Summer Party design, I went on to develop a piece using vibrant and summery colours with palm leaves that I drew surrounding the edges coming in to the middle behind the text. Which was done using two of the universities fonts: Univers LT Std 67 bold. Save The Date Staff Summer Party: I went on to develop the Save The Date design. This will be sent out in an all-staff email putting the date on everyone’s calendar as a reminder.
