About me
As a Textile design graduate from Nottingham Trent University. I am currently exploring career opportunities within the world of textile design for sportswear, material innovation and trend forecasting. With a strong breadth of experience in design at Pentland Brands working for Speedo as well as experience at Superdry and Joules, I am excited to share my creative vision within this fast pace, innovative and forward thinking industry.
Projects
  • Oshun: Goddess of Gold
Oshun: Goddess of GoldTo begin my project I began by mind mapping the different goddesses that I could potentially focus on, researching their meaning, then I pulled my favourite/most inspirational aspects of them out; I particularly liked the idea of opulence and luxury, reflected through indulgent colours and lavish fabrics. I also liked the idea of fruitfulness and fertility; exploring colour and materials to develop inspirational mood boards. These images also feature in my sketchbook collaged alongside material
  • Colour In Design Award: Collapsible Rucksack
Colour In Design Award: Collapsible RucksackThis project wa say entry to the Global Colour In Design Award. In designing for active wear in a post-pandemic world, we must recognize that people will seek colours to offer reassurance and comfort. Pantone’s colour of the year 2020 ‘Classic blue’ will unite us and offer a sense of peace and familiarity for people new to fitness, whilst a fiery oranges will balance this colour in a search for newness, optimism and energy. Through using colour as a fundamental element, this contributes to the s
  • Creative Conscience Competition
Creative Conscience CompetitionThe project was my application to the Creative Conscience: Social Impact Design Award. Stemming from an interest in smart textiles and innovative technology incorporated into garments, I have developed a solution to help people that struggle with social anxiety and isolation through the use of a collapsible shape memory ally (SMA) hood. The concept is inspired by my research into architecture, collapsible origami and shape adapting structures. The final design consolidates by research and under
  • 3D Footwear Collection
3D Footwear CollectionIn collaboration with NTU product design I have designed a silicone trainer sole made using a casting process using a 3D printing technology. The raised structure is flexible and designed to support the foot during movement. A mixture of triangular and linear contours shapes designed for the sole are inspired by architecture and movement captured in light. The footwear collection combines 3D printing technology with my digital embroidery and digital ‘trompe l’oeil’ prints alongside technical mat
  • Tabby Lazenbury X Anglo Accessories
Tabby Lazenbury X Anglo AccessoriesI really enjoyed creating a project for Anglo Accessories, designing 3 bags for ASOS ladies for Spring Summer 22. Tapping into mood boosting colours to bring the season to life, also being inspired by hand crafted techniques such as weaving straw. Research into trends for the upcoming season also reflected classic silhouettes to create investment pieces, using high quality materials to protect product longevity. I also explored modular design through my research and sketching, catering for the f
  • Tabby Lazenbury X Speedo
Tabby Lazenbury X SpeedoDuring my internship with Speedo, with the design team at Pentland Brands in Nottingham, specifically working on the Summer 2021 Speedo ranges. I was thrilled to be supported in taking a creative, physical design approach; using paints, marbling, photography through water and projection to create an exciting archive of material of which to bring forward into print designs. This made the process much more personal, using my creative license, I was able to input my passion for hands-on design to d
