  • CYPHER-FMP
    CYPHER-FMPFor my FMP, I explored how missed movement can influence and inspire design. I focused my attention on handwriting and the missed movement within this, the shapes the top of the pen make (CYPHER) versus the ink end, which writes a letter. In doing this, I found that although there were similarities, each person's CYPHER was infinitely unique.     Mother Nature and Her TreesMother Nature and Her trees is the first in a series of children's books that aim to educate young children on the importance of Mother Nature, written from her perspective. Each book focuses on one tree at a time, starting with the Kapok tree, and revealing who depends on the tree to survive. . As an accompanying tool to Mother Nature and Her Trees series of books, I designed a bank note with both a symbolic and monetary value.     Impress Publishing RebrandFor the 40th anniversary of Impress Publishing we (at university) were 'comissioned' to design a re-brand. After a lot of research I decided to take main inspiration from Phil Cleaver's book on logos using animals. I asked myself what kind of animal would Phil Cleaver (head of Impress) be? He thought a monkey and I thought the African Grey Parrot because of it's intelligence, capacity for creativity and it's elegance. .
