Has anyone got into personal creative projects during the crisis - I'm looking for examples to feature in my magazine, Elsie.

I publish a one-man creative magazine called 'Elsie'. During the crisis, I'm putting out a free digital version of the magazine every week until the crisis is over. One of the themes is 'crisis creativity' - the projects that people have created during lockdown. If you'd like to receive the free magazines, you can sign up at: https://www.elsiemagazine.co.uk/free-elsie

  • At university, even writing an essay was difficult for me. It was difficult to convey everything in the novel because not all of my ideas fit into my head. As a result, I decided to rely on https://royalwriter.co.uk/statistics-assignment-help Fortunately, I received my homework in time. Additionally, the instructor had no questions. I believe that writing talent is required, as effort alone is insufficient.
  • @Les Jones Hi Les hope you’re well! Just as an FYI it might be too late now but my print site is now live with actual prints! Typegraft.co.uk if you’re still interested :)
  • @Remus Comanescu Hi Remus, thanks for getting in touch - do you have any examples of what you've been doing? Cheers, Les

  • Hi,
During this strange time I am working on a still life project. My project involves folding paper, creating models, photograph them to create abstract and interesting shapes. Would be that what are you looking for? Thank you!
  • Hi Les, during the lockdown I have done a variety of personal illustraiton projects. The Wild Series set of illustrations was a great way for me to positive and for my own mental health, www.markkarwowski.com/illustration .

But this lead to me to create free downloads for people and kids to use and create. 'Free Drawing Sheets' for anyone to create at www.markkarwowski.com/free .

I hope this helps and you are keeping safe.
  • @Les Jones No problem. Glad you like it! I do indeed have more work I'm yet to publish, I'm releasing it slowly over time. I can see your email below, I'll send you more of the work :) Cheers
  • @Ameena Rojee Hi Amena - thanks for getting in touch. I really like your garden project - do you have any more shots? Les
  • Hey Les, I've got a couple of things on the go!

I've been working on a photographic study of my garden space prompted by a conversation at the beginning of lockdown and some surreal lockdown moments - a familiar, conventional space that I've suddenly been looking at with new eyes since it's been my only consistent source of nature, fresh air and sunshine: https://www.ameenarojee.co.uk/lockdown-diary

I've also recently worked on a series of portraits of Tim, a regular collaborator and friend who as sat for countless photographers as part of his own projects. We did this via webcam, something I'd been hesitatnt to try but has yielded interesting results that I am keen to do again: https://www.ameenarojee.co.uk/tim-andrews

Let me know if any of this catches your eye :) By the way love the publication! Much respect to you for putting out free content for us.
  • @adriano f correa Hi Adriano - thnaks for getting in touch - I'd love to see a few of your drawing+collage+screenprinting works. • Hi Les, I’m currently working on a typography screen print site. Much of my freelance work had unfortunately been dropped / postponed so I decided to create some posters! Hoping to launch in the next week or so...
  • Awesome. I started a crisis project during the lockdown. I'm a single dad of two girls and a boy. During the COVID19 pandemic lockdown - one of my daughters became sick. It was a scare because 1. I had to take her to the hospital and 2. I needed to pay hospital bills. Finding a hospital that was open during the lockdown was easy, it was raising cash that was difficult. Before the lockdown I work as a startup consultant most of the day planning, creating and executing pitching competitions for startups in the early stage. So I called my assistant and told him I needed to raise funds. We got to work creating a few t-shirts with catchy startup quotes. It sold out, I got some funds to treat my daughter who by the way had malaria and asked my assistant to become my cofounder on a new niche network for startups in the early stage to acquire social knowledge, share startup stories, connect with investors/fundraisers and grow customers. Every challenge produces a new season.
  • @Jose Garrido Fonts look great - that's very productive work during lockdown. Can we connect and have a chat about it?
  • @Ricardo Fonseca Hi Ricardo - it's pretty much as I've put in my first note. It's a collection of articles within the magazine on how people have been creative during the crisis. Here's a link to one of the digital magazines, so you can see what it's like. Cheers, Les
