I can provide you pixel-perfect results and high-quality liquid, CSS, HTML, js coding skills for your shop if you can offer me a mockup or some design idea, including logo and contexts.

Please check these Shopify stores I made before from scratch with collaborator access.

  • I had no idea about how to build a website so I decided to use Squarespace for my own website. Everything is very intuitive and easy as far as you know what is the message, content you want to communicate. Graphic design was important to me and this is where I found the most attractive templates. It is important that you don't need to update it and it also has the basic analytic tools included. Good luck!
  • Hey Meg!

I've had experience with most of the website builders over the years including Wordpress, Squarespace, Wix and Format which are some of the most common platforms among photographers however if you already have an Adobe subscription for Lightroom and Photoshop then you’re entitled to build five FREE websites with Adobe portfolio. It’s best described as a no frills builder so if you just need something that’s simple and straightforward to display your portfolio site then it’s an excellent choice and what I currently use for main website having migrated from Squarespace a couple of years ago. With any of these website builders there’s always an initial learning curve getting used to their platforms but once you do they’re all fairly straightforward. The exception to this is Wordpress which I would avoid unless you have lots of time and patience on your side. Most offer a free trial so you can determine which suits your needs the best before having to shell out any money. Anyway hope this helps, good luck!
  • I'd recommend WordPress. 40% of all websites are built using it and if you use a theme like Kadence you'll be able to create a beautiful portfolio website. If you need help get in touch.
  • I agree with @Tanel S but Webflow needs a bit HTML/CSS background (only a bit). You can handle easly with couple of youtube tutorials or google search. But end of the day, you'll have a rock-solid website wih Webflow.

Also, you can consider to use cargo.site it's only for designers & artists. And I really love their layouts.
  • Webflow is the best in my opinion.
Same time it is not easy to start. There are tutorials though.
Squarespace probably is faster to start but more closed for beginners.
Framer is doing something awesome also however I would say that it is more or less focused on designers.
  • Website builders are a trade-off - the more control you have, the more effort you need; the easier it is, the less you can do. Wix is alright for simple sites but it's a bit clunky. Squarespace can be fiddly but it's reasonably decent when you get used to it. I'm a Wordpress developer (among other things) and so I'd recommend Wordpress, and it's a reasonably straightforward interface with loads of tutorials out there if you get stuck. Two options with Wordpress: set it up on your own server (if you buy Web hosting, there are often wizards to do this for you, but it still requires a degree of technical knowledge), or get a free site on their official website and you can just add all your content via their Web interface. With the latter, you can then do other things like add your own domain, and there are various paid options too. Wordpress has the concept of themes, whereby you change how a site looks by changing the theme (rather than having to code all the styling yourself). Hope this helps a bit.
  • Squarespace is super easy and simple to navigate with lots of great customisation options.

I’ve heard ghost is great too and more affordable than Squarespace. Ghost is even better if you have some coding skills as I believe you can edit things a little deeper.

    Good luck :)
  • It depends what you want it for? I've used squarespace and found it not ideal (a few years ago now). And now I used shopify, but this is probably best for product based websites.
