What are some of your favourite apps to use? Which apps have the best user experience?

  • @Michelangelo Torres I never used Wanderlust - might mean I’m off target on helpglful options replacements... however I the NOTO note taking app is aesthetically beautiful, intuitive and fun to use. I use it for everything - find it’s much more than it’s remit would lead you to expect. Fun to write and order notes - basically dream app for me. Porting out of Evernote, it’s just that good ( for me)! Another good notes app is Minimalist - but I’m ditching it as well in favour of NOTO. It’s a goodun though and very clean and intuitive :)

Other apps I love - CONE for colour palettes and pulling colours out of assets and inspiration.

Far as calendar goes - can’t beat moleskine for clarity and really enjoyable user experience. Been using it for years, tried to ditch a few times when shiny new stuff caught my eye, but always return.
  • I've got to say the ebay app is really good. It never disappoints in terms of usability, and there are several updates that they've made that have improved the app too.
  • It got to be "Airbnb" for me in terms of usability and carying the user step by step, followed by "Pinterest" with its beautiful interactions although the last update isn't the most flattering, then comes the famous "Instagram" for the only reason on how they can squeeze a huge amount of content in one place, they for sure compromise the user experience sometimes but I am still amazed on how they quickly educate the user back at it.
  • Spotify of course. Nike Running app and Nike Training app are my regulars on a daily basis.
There is an app called elevate that is like brain trainings exercises, pretty nice to do a bit daily. One of my favs is Balance which is a meditation app. I could never do meditation before and no other apps worked for me. This one is great. I like the Monzo app for finances a lot. YouVersion bible app for some reading up and time with God if of any interest.
  • Spotify, Pinterest, Notion, Citymapper. Tailored experience with no confusion — clean and straightforward.
  • Excercising has always been a dreaded chore. Since lockdown 1.0 in March, I've been consistently working out and EVEN running twice a week. All thanks for the Nike NTC and NRC apps :)
  • I use Anchor which is a great app for podcasting and Twitch to see people showcase their talent in real time and live.

The gift economy is stronger here than facebook and instagram, its not just for gamers.
