As a Project Manager, Architecture EMEIA at Burberry, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating store construction and fit-out projects across Europe, Middle East & India. You’ll manage project teams on behalf of Burberry, ensuring all activities are delivered on time, within budget and maintaining the Burberry design vision.
This Project Manager, Architecture EMEIA role is offered on a full time, permanent basis. You will be required to work in our London office (Horseferry Road) minimum 3 days per week, and regular travel across the EMEIA region will be required.
Project managing a portfolio of luxury store fit out projects across EMEIA Region, ensuring they are within programme, budget and design tolerances
Developing and establishing brief of project objectives, maintaining stakeholder communication
Preparation and updating overall construction strategies, programmes, schedules and other documentation to monitor and track objectives
Managing contractor tender processes and the activities of the development team, the general contractor, specialist contractors and suppliers
Defining and maintaining project cost plans, covering all aspects of planned spend
Analysis of each works package contract, identifying the key interfaces, critical path and milestones
Inspections of both on and off-site of the works by contractors and suppliers, as well as monitoring and verification of logistics plans for projects
Advising on the strategy for procurement of all construction packages, organising purchase orders for works required and managing handover of the site to the business
Extensive experience in construction project delivery globally (specifically Europe, the Middle East and India)
Experience within luxury retail construction or other consumer facing industries
Strong commercial acumen with financial and analytical capability. Ability to budget and manage project costs and a solid understanding of financial reconciliation of construction related costs
Proven experience with tender processes, bids and cost negotiation
Ability to manage matrix teams including consultants, 3rd party providers and internal resources
Proficient in MS Project, including creation of schedules, analysis, evaluation and amendments
Excellent communication skills, present and share information effectively, and work confidently with cross functional teams
Experience of managing multiple projects and a proven track record of delivery on time and to budget
Fluent in English (written and spoken) essential; any other languages useful (specifically European/Arabic)
