JOB PURPOSE
Burberry is looking for an experienced Sourcing Coordinator to join our Womenswear team. In this position, you will manage the seasonal placement and follow-through of finished goods for a particular category(ies), in a manner congruent with the supply chain objectives: delivering quality product, on time and at the right price.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Advise vendors on the seasonal buying/production calendar, unit plans, and negotiate minimums, working with Managers for seasonal objectives and challenges.
  • Communicate with manufacturers on raw material call-offs and receipts to meet production needs according to the schedule.
  • Manage the seasonal product pass-off to the local sourcing office and update PLM with vendor costs.
  • Liaise with product development for updated BOM information and Customer Operations for timely order receipts, advising Customer Service on order retiming.
  • Analyse pre-buy versus actuals, identifying shortfalls with the raw materials team.
  • Partner with the manager to finalize prices and margins, providing seasonal price analyses across vendors and product categories.
  • Participate in seasonal vendor performance analysis and work with product development and technical teams on fit approval dates, ensuring compliance.
  • Partner with quality assurance to resolve quality issues and communicate best practices or key seasonal information to vendors.
  • Ensure standard processes across teams/divisions and manage buying/delivery deadlines in line with the Time & Action calendar.
  • Monitor team efficiency, prioritize workload, and partner with the manager on seasonal counter-sourcing needs.
  • Manage, train, and develop the Sourcing Assistant when required.
PERSONAL PROFILE
  • Demonstrated experience in previous production or manufacturing roles, adept at costing and negotiation.
  • Established capability in building strong relationships across functions, promoting collaboration and synergy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills facilitating clear and effective interaction.
  • Exceptionally organized with efficient time management and a keen eye for detail, committed to thorough task follow-up.
  • Self-driven with a problem-solving orientation, capable of adapting to changes swiftly.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite—Excel, Word, PowerPoint—with a solid understanding of retail math.
  • Desirable familiarity with SAP/PLM systems.
  • Italian language preferred and willingness to travel if necessary.
