This project was for external competition, set by the International Society of Typographic Designers (ISTD). Choosing from five briefs, I chose the brief titled ‘migration’, tasked with celebrating to the concept of migration. The limited-edition book looks back at a poignant point in history; World War II, but focusing on a man, Nicholas Winton, who was the forefront of the rescue of 669 Czech children, before full German invasion, helping them migrate from Czechoslovakia to Great Britain, but not without some hurdles to overcome first. It is a story of great inspiration and humanity, Nicholas Winton inspired hundreds then and thousands now to help/volunteer less fortunate countries than ours.
