A Platform for Joy

Based on an RSA brief, I took the opportunity to develop a new modern solution to the disorganised and inconsistent signage found in Britain's railway stations. Through a binder-based book akin to classic design manuals (e.g. DRU's British Rail Corporate Identity manual, Noorda+Vignelli's NYCTA Subway Signage manual & Danne and Blackburn's NASA manual) ideas are explored for a wayfinding system based on typographic clarity and structured around colour-coded organisation of platforms.
