Adapt Type Specimen

Adapt is a hand embroidered typeface that explores the pace of embroidery. The letterforms are each constructed by cross-stitch, a well-known stitching technique that sees two diagonal lines cross. ‘Every material has its own pace’. This is represented in the design when the rhythm of the stitching alters due to the removal of several stitches - the pace is accelerated as a result.
