ARCHITECTURAL MAPPING VIDEO FOR AUDEMARS PIGUET

  • Andy Machals
Product Launch. A new product was unveiled to selected media representatives with the help of a large-scale projecting mapping.

The large-scale architectural video mapping was designed and implemented by flora&faunavisions. Mediatised concret walls made up the stage in the former power plant Kraftwerk in Berlin-Mitte and fascilitated the launch of Audemars Piguet’s new timepiece that was presented by Michael Schumacher. Featuring mechanic and design details the watch was brought to live through spell-binding animations of technical drawings, winding wheels and hands – all underlined by dramatic sound effects and a cinemaesque sound design.

The 2xHD projection (realised through a 4xHD sandwich projection for extra brightness) was supported by a custom light concept carefully underlining key moments during the video’s dramaturgy.

- Assisted the Creative Director Leigh Sachwitz in coordinating the creative processes behind the collaborative devising of the dramaturgical structure and designing the story board for the architectural mapping video.
- Working closely together with choreographers, motion designers, art directors and a sound designer in devising a 60-minute performance for a highly mediatised stage environment.
- Supporting the Creative Director and the Creative Producers in administrative tasks.
