Autonomous Substrates
Collaboration with Ravensbourne, launching a series of workshops for their Foundations of Fashion and Textile Design students where they are taught technical skills in incorporating Wearable Tech into their designs.
As part of their formal education, a learning plan was specifically designed in order to introduce wearable tech and the technical skills required in order to incorporate them into fashion design. This is achieved through practical exercises, design speculation and experimentation with various materials and circuitry design. The students are taught basic circuitry principles, the relationship between sensors, microcontrollers, actuators and data monitoring, as well as techniques of how they may intergrate circuitry into textiles or garments.
