AW20 Menswear show

  • Lily Hayne

Within my internship at Acne Studios I supported the Menswear product development team with the development of the AW20 wardrobe and catwalk collections including being in daily contact with global suppliers and maintaining clear and strong communication. My main responsibilities within the role are to support with creating fit and construction comments on Prototypes, SMS and Pre-production samples and keeping all collection information in PLM up to date. I attended fit sessions and design passings, helping to take notes on details and adjustments of the collections, which were later translated into tech packs and conveyed to suppliers. A large part of my role was to collect and ship fabric and trims to various suppliers, making sure that the critical path is adhered to and following up on any problems that may arise. During this time I have launched and followed up on garments within the collection, overseeing the whole development chain from start to finish, adding information to PLM, creating and sending techpacks and following up on deadlines. The environment at Acne Studios is extremely fast paced and within my role I collaborated with a wide range of people including fabric/trims developers, pattern cutters, designers and suppliers; this is an aspect of the job I really enjoy and hope to find in future employment. I would love to use the skills and knowledge I have learnt at Acne Studios at another high end, luxury brand.
