My main collection is my own world of Surrealism. The dreams that I have come and go are independent of me and beyond my control. My dream of rolling people inspired me to recreate twisting and slicing motions with clay and a rolling pin. Experimenting and playing around with these movements, made me discover the rolling pin's ability for extending and rearranging objects, which created elongated and unusually shaped patterns, has been an inspiration in the process of translating dreams into my designs. By using silhouettes from my sleeping postures and objects from my dreams as my main inspiration, my designs are process-driven and are made using various tailoring techniques and hand-sewing skills. It is the occurrence of natural imperfection in my experimental process that fascinates me, making me document and appreciate the unexpected beauty within the unexpected, imperfection and to experiment with combining pieces in a non-traditional way.
