My dream of rolling people inspired me to recreate twisting and slicing motions with clay and a rolling pin. Experimenting and playing around with these movements on the mannequin and fabric has helped me in developing interesting drapes and patterns in my process. I began by slicing a piece of fabric at random, then draped the remaining fabric over the stand while twisting the fabric and the stand in various directions while observing how the cloth changed as it twisted around the body. The rolling pin's ability for extending and rearranging objects, which created elongated and unusually shaped patterns, has been an inspiration in the process of translating dreams into my designs.
