Book: Between the Birch Trees

My fascination for Scandinavia and Sweden in particular has been a constant in my life since early childhood. I learned to love the magic of light and nature during the many summers that I spent in the North as a child. I learned to appreciate the beauty of the Scandinavian languages and the power of the stories and legends they tell when I studied Scandinavian studies at university. I learned to admire the humble perfection of Scandinavian design throughout my years as a graphic design student. Now it is time to put these three parts together. For me, they connect to a beautiful whole and shape my love for the North. In this book, I present eight poems by Karin Boye. They capture the essence of the Scandinavian feel, which is also present in Scandinavian style and design – illustrated by selected Swedish graphic design work.
