Goal: The main goal for this project was to receive engagement followers to engage in a giveaway in order to promote a collaboration event we had for young travellers. Challenge: I found it difficult to find a way to engage followers as this is the first event of it's type that has been targeted towards travellers, this proved difficult as most of the page's followers are students which may not have much travel experience. Process: The best way to encourage followers to participate and engage with the event a giveaway was proposed, I felt that the best way to promote the event and invite guests was to get followers to describe their favourite travelling experiences. I also found it beneficial to use hashtags to extend the reach of the posts. Outcome: The posts reached over 260 Instagram users and led to a drastic increase in followers, there was also 2 giveaway winners that were produced.
