Cigarette butts littering is one of The World's Biggest problem over-time.
Different solutions and fine penalties are introduced but the problem and the littering habit is still existing today.
My design solution is to tackle cigarette littering on the streets of London.
I've looked into smokers routines/habit. I found Smokers usually like to return to their favourite smoking spot before or after their specific routine i.e. Before heading to work or exit of a tube station.
..and these people are likely to litter their butts on the floor.
My intention was to capture their attention and giving them a second thought about littering based on How can a single cigarette butt litter can lead to something much bigger !
I stack up the cigarette butts to create an interruptive environment that disrupt their everyday routine of smoking and littering.
The result was successful by all means smokers stopped littering and feeling cigarette littering is a problem toward them too.
