Cross Category version of the Clarks Designers Inspiration Documentary.
I enjoyed working with the creative agency. They gave me a heck of a lot of responsibility and creative freedom (see Press Release below) - the shoot was taking place in-between other campaigns I was also heading up for Clarks too, I remember it being a manic few weeks...
Independent communications company Portas has created ‘Designer’s Inspiration’, a specially commissioned online film that captures the spirit of Portas' global, integrated, above-the-line advertising campaign, ‘A Londoner’s London’ for Clarks. The film will live on Clarks’ global sites and be used in communications campaigns by the company’s international markets.
In the film, Clarks Creative Director Paolo Gabrielli talks through the design inspirations and influences that are the source for the Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. The film takes the form of a sleek, investigatory and intimate documentary that explores the juxtaposition of London and Somerset as the inspiration that shaped the collection.
The film was written, creative directed and filmed by Christopher Nicholson Price at Hi Fly Nest, and produced by Portas.
Darren Day, Group Head of Marketing (Womens) at Clarks said: “We tasked Portas to communicate to a global audience of stylish women, demonstrating our design credentials. The film beautifully fulfils the brief.”
Caireen Wackett, Managing Director at Portas said: “We created a show case to allow the creative talent behind Clarks’ Autumn/Winter collection to share in front of Clarks’ global audience, illustrating how the skilled designers use inspiration to create shoes that are distinguished by craftsmanship as well as by style”
