Cog Design a design agency based in London asked me to create an illustration for their August Newletter than gets send out to clients and their followers. The theme of the illustration would be based around a recent exhibition they had visited at NOW Gallery called Walala X Play.
Using a steady hand I calved out each piece of card and layered them on top of each other to create the maze using the same colour pallette that was used in the exhibition.
The little figure of the man was added to emphasise the fact that this was representing a maze design. I played around with a few different figures including one sat down on the edge of one of the maze walls but decided to settle with the pondering figure to highlight the sense of mystery and confusion.
Initial plan that was created and printed out to act as a template.
