The coronavirus spreading around the world is calling on us to contain our profoundly human and evolutionarily hard-wired desires for connection, being physically together. Staying away from one another by practising physical, social distancing is indeed crucial for slowing the spread of the virus and preventing health care systems from becoming overwhelmed. Still, it has been and will be the hardest part of it all - but I believe it will come with the greatest reward when we can reconnect freely again. So for now; the same level of awareness on Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) needs to be shared with the new kind of STD which we refer to as a Socially Transmitted Disease (COVID-19). This design uses the abbreviation STD which holds a relatable level of understanding raises the alarm to apply caution as human beings when connecting physically. Sexually Transmitted Diseases has been the most significant areas for concern amongst humanity when in close intimate contact with others. We decided to change the abbreviation and use the power of the already known acronym, changing the narrative bringing awareness to COVID19 being the new kind of STD a Socially Transmitted Disease and no one wants to catch this. #CovidOpenBrief #UNCovid19Brief #FlattenTheCurve #SafeHands #AloneTogether #ViralKindness #StopTheSpread #Coronavirus #Covid19
