Daydreamer

Escape London, escape the city. Without changing the physical location, through the exchange of environmental soundscapes, the cities far away are brought into the space of the installation. Because it is unfamiliar, it is a process of trust. The actions of the performance show the trusting process between the performer and the space, from defence to gradually immersing in the imagination of another city based on the sound of the afield. Through the details presented by the soundscape in the space, the body shuttles between the real space and the imaginary space. The whole process was like a phone call with another city, a phone call that never hung up. Another city - permanently exists in London in the form of a space installation, it is the door to the other city, telling the stories that happened there and around to the performer in real time. The performer is the listener, the auditory triggers perceptual experience gradually extends in consciousness, blurring the boundary between imagination and reality.
