‘Design Collaborations’? was a program of dance pieces created between designers from Wimbledon College of Art, and choreographers from London Contemporary Dance School. The pieces were created with the intention that ‘the dance cannot exist without the design and the design cannot exist with out the dance’. Our piece was entitled Drawn.
Our main focus for Drawn was an interactive set, to create a dynamic space for the performers, as well as a costume design that aligns to create a pattern at key intervals during the choreography. The piece deals with the concepts of freedom and restraint through the medium of puppetry.
