Imagine a scenario in where we live with viruses being around us, meanwhile new adjustments to everyday life is presented, in order to prevent the spread of viruses. The “Off the Grid Survivalist” Menswear Collection is inspired by purity being infected. Furthermore; a defence mechanism for nature being interrupted by an opposing force. That said “mechanism” being; to coat one’s self in protective layers that fights against contamination and in keeping the host safe. Despite the collection categorizing as “Menswear”, anyone that is looking to wear Ellesse and is wanting a functional & conscious clothing, will feel at home with this range. It’s designed with timelessness & diverseness (regarding style) in mind, meaning that it compliments different aesthetics from Streetwear to Functional Survival-wear. The objective was to create a Casual Performance and Sportswear collection that is useful in any environment; from Cities, Rural areas or to the mountains of Avoriaz in France. The collection can be utilized for activities in the Snow or Rain, Loungewear, Exercise, Hiking or for just hanging out with Friends. Although the collection can be worn in your everyday life/activities, the high-quality fabrics make it so that it can be used in survival environments such as the Woodlands. It being breathable and durable, paired up with Ellesse’s signature Italian slim fit look, allows for high performance for the user in any daily task they must tackle. Survival in harsh weather conditions and Sustainability were some of the key focuses for this collection. Staying safe and being seen is highly important in activities like hiking or camping in wild/nature areas. Which is why the garments have a strong contrast in design, allowing for group members to find each other with ease due to the eye-catching colours to each of the garments. The range is comfortable, warm, ethical and uses technological advancement features; preparing for a greener world in 2021/22. Designing for the future is important, but to also pay homage and to bring Ellesse’s History into the new generation of Sportswear, is just as important. That’s why the collection consists of Ellesse Heritage, re-vamped into a new and refreshing take on Classic Signatures; Sport and Essential pieces with a focus on Autumn/Winter and Multi-Purposed wear.
