Fashion Futures

  • Adele Parr

The outcomes below are from my final project Fashion Futures: The Space Age issue. The publication targets pioneers of the future who are paving the way in digital fashion in a technology immersed industry. The 'Space Age' movement encourages the reader to take in new information in a familiar way that evokes more a tactile feel with a hint of nostalgia rather than an overload of information. The publication features 60's inspired photoshoots with references to designers such as Andre Courreges, Pierre Cardin and Paco Rabanne. All outfits and props for the photoshoots were created and made by me aswell as the photography for the images. It was important to capture the DIY aspect of the theme as it pays homage to designers of the past who ventured into a new realm of creative materials such as acrylic and steel. This reflects how designers and creatives of today are using digital platforms as their materials. Fashion Futures also showcases an interview with an AR specialist aswell as highlighting industry professionals and brands who are paving the way for the future.
