Glimmer

Glimmer is an exploratory image series that explores a personal sense of displacement through work which breaks down realities and certainties and which come to me like things caught out the corner of my eye: dreams, visions, and (possibly) alternate realities. These reflect life at a point of tension and chaos and the images are like portals into those points of change - where nation, environment, culture, and heritage are all breaking down, being redefined or reborn. They are deliberately disorienting in composition, and include motifs and objects that I am always drawn back to: found objects, food, juices, insects, decaying matter, and chance things found in the immediate vicinity while making the works.
