Hypothetical Structures

MA Photography final show Hypothetical Structures is a project investigating themes of vulnerability, obsolescence and acceptance of change. The alteration of the architectural body can trigger the contemporary present and imagine possible future. In this work, found ordinary parts of architectural structures appear isolated, out of context suggesting the layering of time. Through the act of removing parts from transient sites, I re-arrange these objects wondering what new meaning they will have in the present and how less vulnerable they have become as independent sculptures.
