Je Ne Suis Pas Un Magasin/I Am Not A Shop is a playful pop-up with a twist. Starting empty instead of full, we’ve flipped the shop format on it’s head, allowing customers come to donate instead of purchasing. After taking their donations to the tills, customers are given a receipt that lists the items with the worth of what they can achieve. For example, a donated cardigan is the value of a meal. This information was also tagged on each item before it was put on display on the shopfloor. The changing rooms had video screens installed in them featuring informative films about the work the charity does globally, with both these and the clothing tags aimed to engage and educate those that visited the shop about what Croix Rouge does. Customers left with an empty branded bag, encouraging them to return with even more donations in the future. At the end of the day the donations are cleared, and Je Ne Suis Pas Un Magasin/I Am Not A Shop begins again.
