Bompas & Parr designed and curated a multi-sensory garden to commemorate Singapore’s Bicentennial. Guests were invited to take a glimpse into the island’s evoloution of culture and heritage. In order to frame this evolution in a literal representation of growing, we designed the event within an urban garden scene – a garden of creativity. Using industrial materials that represented the city we also integrated light, sound and cutting-edge technology into the forestscape immersing guests in a cornucopia of creativity. The three day event featured works by; -NY-based Singaporean photographer, Lenne Chai, presented an exploration of the faces and stories that have been part of Singapore’s transformation over the past 200 years. -A unique haptic plant soundscape presented by leading British and Singaporean artists Mileece and gif. – A tropical imaginarium created by leading Singaporean botanical designers, This Humid House.
