Journey Through Migration

This project is about my mothers' journey and travels to England. Her journey starts from Congo in her late 20s, having a desire to travel the world and independently experience the world. Through her travels around Africa and central Europe, she ended up staying in London in the 90s. Looking at old images, you could see the old 80s interior, furniture, and wallpaper. Inspired by artists such as Jacob Lawrence and his migration series, the theme of journey and storytelling inspired me. I looked at her old local tube station physical trip to her flat in West London.
