Let Me In - Student Project

Let Me In is a multimedia project by Ronita Awoonor-Gordon and Sarah Namusobya. The project consists of a documentary, a podcast, photography and a website The aim of this project is to explore the effects of migration on individuals and families with a focus on young migrants in the UK and their experiences accessing higher education. The project aims to highlight the experiences of these migrants, many of whom have lived in the UK for several years, and the financial barriers they face when applying for university and during their degree if they are able to attend. Only 24 universities in the UK provide any sort of funding for migrant students who have been denied a student loan. These students trying to fulfil their dreams are turned away at the doors of these institutions.
